I'd like to think it couldn't get worse...

I saw a picture about a “fairy cam” to watch children in one of my feeds and it had a link on twitter.

Specifically, it is a pink dome camera for your child that goes in their play area, bedroom, etc. telling the child that the “secret fairies” are watching out for you. I’m assuming there is a blue version targeted for male children, but I have not looked.

Normalizing surveillance in the home by “secret watchers” seems a bit over the top to me. Just a thought. Maybe a secondary topic for this month.
